Description
Emerald is a vibrant green to bluish-green variety of the mineral beryl , colored by trace amounts of chromium, vanadium, or both. As a member of "the big three" (with ruby and sapphire), emeralds are valued for their rich color, typically featuring internal inclusions known as "jardin" (garden), and rank on the Mohs hardness scale.
